This is amazing, you guys
Meet Elesha Casimir, our newest T’zikal brand ambassador. She’s a NYC-based textile designer, trend forecaster, vintage store owner and all-around stylish lady. She also has a beautiful mane of natural curls, so we thought she’d be a perfect candidate to test out our Natural Project. Here, she logs her experience with the products from beginning to end.
The upshot? Aside from more manageable, softer curls her hair actually GREW. Read on for more about her journey:
So this is week 1, day 1.
And while I’m totally happy, my hair is not… It’s fried, lifeless and begging for a curl pattern.
Wanna know if it works? Me too! Let’s do it.
Week 1, day 7.
Is anyone seeing more of a congruence between my face and my hair? Both happy this time.
My process this past 7 days has been to apply the Curl Serum after a wash (twice weekly) from root to tip with a wide tooth comb. (*tip: dry your hair with a cotton t-shirt, never a towel, the cotton tee will remove any excess moisture without drawing out too much – which a towel might).
After I apply the serum I put it in bantu knots and sleep with that style to lock in even more moisture.
Once I take out the bantu knots and separate them in the morning I finish styling with the Smooth Styling Hair Wax applying to my edges and ends. Fun fact about the wax is that if you warm it in the palm of your hand it becomes a soft, workable oil type texture.
Week 2, day 14.
Does anyone notice that my hair actually grew?! This was an unexpected result but I’m not complaining. I feel like T’zikal gave my hair a second life. There is hope out there for you too!
But honestly, when I asked myself why the T’zikal Natural Project worked well while so many other products didn’t, it became obvious to me. The proof is in the puddin’ y’all – the ingredients ate natural, rare, and perfectly balanced.
Also, it’s packed with loving oils – ojon, oil, lavender and eucalyptus. Has my hair found its new BFF? Yes, it has.
