This is a weird one:
Geishas used to use the droppings from female nightingales to remove their white facial makeup.
The paste is naturally packed with enzymes and acts as an effective exfoliator and the high nitrogen levels help remove bacteria and dead skin.
In fact, the droppings are so effective ‘nightingale facials’ are offered at spas throughout the U.S. (they use a sterilized powder derived from the… fresh product).
