Ritual

T'zikal Hand Rescue Project — Ojon Oil Ritual for Dry, Cracked & Dehydrated Hands
The Ritual
The Hand Rescue Project
Ojon Oil Hand Repair Ritual for Dry, Cracked & Dehydrated Hands — Natural Hand Balm & Lotion
⏳  Daytime ritual: 1–2 min  ·  Nighttime ritual: 3–5 min
Before You Open the Tube
A note on the Moisture Protect Hand Lotion — lighter than most hand creams, by design.
The Moisture Protect Hand Lotion is intentionally lightweight in viscosity. Heavy hand creams feel rich because they are full of waxes and synthetic thickeners that coat the surface of your skin. T’zikal’s ojon oil (batana oil) formula skips those entirely in favour of batana oil and glycerin that absorb directly into your skin. The result: immediate absorption, no greasy residue, no waiting, and long-lasting softness because the moisture is inside your skin — not sitting on top of it.

A note for first-time use:  Because the formula is so lightweight, it flows from the tube on its own as soon as you tilt it — no squeezing required. Tilt slowly and start with a small amount. A little goes a long way.
Made With Integrity
Genuine Ojon Oil (Batana Oil) — sourced traditionally from Honduras
Paraben-Free
EDTA-Free
No Animal Testing
No Artificial Fragrance, Color, or Dye
pH-Balanced — formulated to support the skin barrier
The Two Rituals — When to Use Each
1
Moisture Protect Hand Lotion — Daytime & On the Go
1–2 min
Use during the day, every day. The lightweight Hand Lotion is your daily hydration and protection ritual — designed to be reached for as often as your hands need it.

When: After every hand wash, before going outside in cold or windy weather, after using cleaning products, and any time during the day your hands start to feel dry.

How: Open the tube and tilt it slowly over your palm — the lightweight viscosity allows the lotion to flow out on its own, no squeezing required. A pearl-sized amount is enough for both hands. Rub palms together, then work across the backs of both hands using brisk circular movements from wrist to fingertips. Finish by massaging into the cuticles and nail beds.

The Pectin and Apple Fruit Extract create a near-invisible protective film that establishes a long-lasting moisture barrier against the dehydrating effects of cold air, hard water, and frequent washing. The lightweight viscosity is intentional — it absorbs completely with no greasiness, so you can immediately return to typing, holding a coffee, or whatever you were doing before.
2
Intense Moisture Hand Balm — Overnight & Intensive Repair
3–5 min
Use at night, and after manual work that has dried out or chapped your hands. The richer Hand Balm is your deep repair ritual — designed for the moments when your hands need more than maintenance hydration.

When: Every night before bed (your skin’s natural repair cycle is most active during sleep). After heavy manual work — gardening, cleaning, building, cooking. Any time your hands feel chapped, cracked, or genuinely dry rather than just slightly thirsty.

How: Start with clean, completely dry hands — pat dry thoroughly after washing. For severely cracked hands, soak in warm water for 2 minutes first to soften the skin, then dry completely. Scoop a small amount of the Hand Balm onto your fingertips, warm it briefly between your palms, then massage into the back of one hand using slow, deliberate circular motions from wrist to fingertips. Focus on knuckles, cuticles, and any cracked or rough areas. Repeat on the other hand. Allow 60 seconds for absorption before sleep or returning to your day.

The batana oil and Crambe Abyssinica Seed Oil in the Balm penetrate the skin barrier to deliver restorative fatty acids at the dermal level — that is what makes the Balm a repair treatment rather than a maintenance moisturiser.
3
The Two Together — The Full Recovery System
For chronically dry, chapped, or cracked hands, the two products work as a complete recovery system across the 24-hour cycle: the Lotion protects and maintains during the day, the Balm repairs during the night. Used together consistently, most people see visible improvement in skin texture and reduced cracking within 2 to 3 days. The two are not applied on top of each other — they are applied at different times of day, for different reasons.
How Often
Hand Lotion: as often as needed during the day — after every hand wash, before going outside, and any time hands feel dry. The lightweight viscosity makes frequent reapplication effortless.

Hand Balm: every night before bed as standard, plus after any heavy manual work that has dried or chapped your hands. For severely cracked hands, apply the Balm at night and wear thin cotton gloves overnight to amplify batana oil absorption. Most people see visible improvement in skin texture after one night of consistent use.
Between Applications
  • Keep one set on your nightstand and one in your bag. Hands encounter dehydrating conditions constantly — hard water, soap, cold air. Consistency with this natural hand care ritual is driven by accessibility.
  • For severely cracked hands: apply the ojon oil Hand Balm generously before sleep and wear thin cotton gloves overnight to amplify batana oil absorption.
  • Reapply the Hand Lotion immediately after washing dishes or prolonged water exposure. Every wash removes the skin’s natural oils — don’t let the moisture deficit accumulate.
  • The 100% natural essential oil fragrance — bergamot, lavender, ylang-ylang, orange — makes each application a brief wellness ritual. Take 30 seconds to breathe it in.
