Cacao Ceremonies, Guatemala
The ancient Maya were lovers of Cacao (aren’t we all). They regarded the Cacao plant as medicinal and included it in traditional ceremonies as a healing, heart-opening element.
Though little is known about the specifics of its ancient usage, Cacao is being used in modern ceremonies to facilitate connectivity, creative energy and improved digestion. The strong brew is a made from raw Cacao beans mixed with chili or cayenne pepper and is said to taste like muddy coffee.
Sounds tempting… but our preferred ancient Maya wellness secret is ojon oil, an incredible natural ingredient that restores damaged hair.
