Eat Beautifully: 5 Foods for Hair Health
Question for you: do you want healthier, more radiant ✨ hair?
Start (or finish) with your diet. Many foods contain essential vitamins and minerals that promote hair growth, shine and strength.
Here are five to add to your shopping list:
Salmon 🐟
Omega 3 fatty acids (which salmon is packed with) are great for hair hydration and will give your locks a silky texture and appearance. Try incorporating 2 servings of salmon or other Omega 3-rich foods into your weekly meal plan for a noticeable difference.
Eggs 🥚
Eggs are an excellent source of biotin, which is a soluble form of vitamin B. If you don’t have enough vitamin B in your diet, your hair might become brittle and break easily. So load up on healthy omelets, add them into your salads, or carry around hard boiled eggs for snacking.
Lean Beef 🥩
Iron and zinc are what we’re looking for here. Both minerals stimulate hair follicles and promote growth. Zinc also protects your scalp. If you can’t do beef twice a week, oysters and eggs can also provide a healthy dose of zinc.
Blueberries
Blueberries are a great way to get your vitamin C, which is critical for iron absorption (see above). These delicious superfoods are also packed with antioxidants, which helps collagen production and protects hair shafts.
Protein
Okay, this isn’t a shopping list item. But it’s so important it deserves a mention, anyway. Your hair is essentially protein, so diets too low in protein can result in weak hair or even hair loss. To maintain your mane, make sure you’re getting enough chicken 🐓, fish, eggs, legumes and nuts.
And, it goes without saying (but we’ll say it anyway), a hair healthy diet must be enhanced with luxurious, all-natural 🌱 hair care products like T’zikal’s Deep Hydrating Shampoo and T'zikal's Deep Moisture Conditioning Cream.
T’zikal makes remarkable products for hair and skin by harnessing the transformative oil of the Ojon Palm Nut and incorporating innovative European skincare science.
